Check Location On a Computer

  1. Open Google Maps: Go to Google Maps in your web browser.

  1. Drop a Pin: If the location doesn’t automatically show Street View, tap and hold the location on the map to drop a pin.
  2. Open Street View: Tap the place name or address at the bottom of the screen, then tap the Street View thumbnail (if available) to enter Street View mode.
  3. Navigate Street View: Use your finger to swipe around and look at the surroundings. Tap the arrows on the screen to move along the street.

Step 5: Switch Between Map and Satellite View

  1. Tap the Layers Button: In the top-right corner of the screen, tap the Layers button (a stack of squares).
  2. Select View: Choose between Default, Satellite, and other available views by tapping your preferred option.

Step 6: Get Directions

  1. Tap Directions: Tap the Directions button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Enter Starting Point: Type your starting point in the field at the top or select your current location.
  3. Choose Route: Review the suggested routes and tap on the one you want to follow.
  4. Start Navigation: Tap the Start button to begin turn-by-turn navigation.

Step 7: Save Location

  1. Tap Save: If you want to save the location, swipe up the information card and tap Save.
  2. Choose a List: Select a list to save the location to (e.g., Favorites, Want to go).

Step 8: Share Location

  1. Tap Share: Swipe up the information card and tap Share.
  2. Select Sharing Method: Choose how you want to share the location (e.g., via Messages, Mail, or social media).
