To get the call history on Android and iOS devices, there are built-in options that allow you to view recent calls. Here’s how you can access the call history on both platforms:
1. Getting Call History on Android:
- Through the Phone App:
- Open the Phone app on your Android device.
- Tap the Recent or Call history tab at the bottom.
- You will see a list of recent calls (incoming, outgoing, and missed). The details include the phone number, date, and duration.
- Exporting Call History (for Backup or Advanced Use):
- You can use third-party apps like Call Log Backup & Restore or SMS Backup & Restore from the Google Play Store to export and backup your call logs.
- After installing the app, follow its instructions to backup the call history as an XML or CSV file.
- Using Google Account (if Sync is Enabled): If you have enabled sync for call logs in your Google account, you can view your call history by logging into your Google account on other Android devices or using a backup service.
2. Getting Call History on iOS:
- Through the Phone App:
- Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Recents tab at the bottom.
- You will see a list of recent calls (incoming, outgoing, and missed) with details such as the contact name or phone number, time, and duration.
- Exporting Call History (for Backup or Advanced Use):
- There is no built-in option to export call logs directly, but you can use third-party apps like iMazing or AnyTrans on a computer to export your call history.
- To use iMazing:
- Connect your iPhone to your computer.
- Open iMazing, and navigate to Phone > Call History.
- You can then export the call logs in formats like PDF, Excel, or CSV.
- Using iCloud (if Backup is Enabled): iPhone call logs may also be backed up to iCloud if iCloud backup is enabled. However, iCloud does not provide a direct interface to view call history online.
